THE FOLLOWING POLICY, TERMS AND CONDITIONS WILL BE ENFORCED BY THE MANITOULIN INN:
CANCELLATION POLICY
You may cancel your booking free of charge by 2:00 pm within our 48-hour cancellation policy prior to check-in. After the cancellation deadline of 48-hours has expired, you will be charged one night stay regardless of if you have checked-in or not.
Any booking during a long weekend throughout the year requires a 72-hour notice cancellation. Failure to contact and cancel, cancellations made after the allotted deadline, or NO SHOWS will be charged the full amount per room of the first nights stay. All subsequent nights will be cancelled at that time.
Any group booking during any time of the year, with 3 or more rooms requires a week notice cancellation. Failure to call and cancel your group booking will be subject to a charge of the full reservation for all reserved rooms with no exceptions or refunds.
CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum age to check in and reserve a room at the Manitoulin Inn is 19 years of age. In the interests of security and to prevent fraud, guests are required to confirm their identity by providing their valid government issued photo identification (Driver’s License, Passport, etc.) at check-in.
A valid and signed credit card in the name of the guest registration is required at the time of check-in.
At the time of check-in and during their stay, guests are agreeing that their booking is fully guaranteed. Guests are no longer able to make changes to their reservations(unless they wish to add or upgrade to their booking) and our cancellation policy applies. For example, if a guest has booked for 4 nights, and upon check-in or during their stay wishes to only stay for 3 nights, they are guaranteeing the amount of their full stay.
NON-SMOKING
There is absolutely no exceptions for smoking inside of any of our rooms.
In the event of any physical evidence, or residual odor which indicates that smoking of any form has taken place inside a guest room, a minimum charge of $200.00 will be made against the credit card provided to the Manitoulin Inn at the time of check-in.
This charge will cover the cost of the maintenance and additional cleaning required to maintain the room to its original condition, as well as cover the reservation cost of the room should the room not be in a state to reserve for the next guest.
ZERO TOLERANCE PARTY POLICY
In the interests of quiet enjoyment and respect for all guests at the Manitoulin Inn, a no party policy applies to all guests staying at the property. Guests are expected to always be respectful of other guests, and to be quiet between 10:00 pm and 7:00am.
Immediate eviction with no refund applies to any breaches of this policy.
PETS
With the exception of Sight and Hearing assistance dogs, all pets are strictly forbidden inside guestrooms. Any guests breaching this rule will face immediate eviction and a minimum $150.00 cleaning fee for carpet and any soft furnishings effected.
Pets in vehicles may only be permitted by prior specific arrangement.
COOKING
Cooking in rooms is strictly prohibited unless your reserved room has a kitchenette.
Cooking on sidewalks outside is strictly prohibited and a charge may apply.
Microwave use is acceptable in all guest rooms.
Rooms with a kitchen or kitchenette may be subject to additional fees if the cooking space is not maintained and requires deep cleaning by our housekeeping staff. Fees for additional cleaning may apply should guests cook inside a guest room.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
Any damage to Manitoulin Inn property, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each room. Any costs associated with repairs and/or replacement will be charged to the credit card of the registered guest. In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued.
MANAGERS DISCRETION
This property is privately owned, and the management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
Management is entitled to exercise discretion and either revoke a booking or resell a room in the following instances:
- If a guest arrives to check-in in an intoxicated or disruptive state
- The guest has not provided a valid credit card and CVV number by the required date.
- Guests fails to arrive within a reasonable time of the advised ETA. The onus is on the guest to advise of any delays for arrival time.
Management will not be responsible for accidents or injury to guests or for loss of money, jewelry, or valuables of any kind. Management is entitled to refuse refunds during your stay should they not follow our policies.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
Pre-Authorization of $150.00 will be processed on given credit card 48 hours prior to arrival.
A pre-authorization is a temporary hold which will be returned/voided if there are no issues upon our management or housekeeping staff assessment of the room upon check-out.
